Fotona 4D TwinLight Fractional Rejuvenation London
A two-stage session is effective and effective for one treatment session. It combines two types of lasers into a twin pair: neodymium-yag (Nd: YAG) system with a wavelength of 1064 nm and erbium-yag (Er: YAG) with a long wavelength of 2940 nm, the most technologically advanced photon in the world. The Twinlight treatment, at the same time, non-ablative fractionates the skin, which gives the effect of strong lifting, firming and thickening, and how minimally ablative rebuilds on the surface, eliminates the imperfection of applying cuticles by laser resurfacing.
The Fotona 4D laser system, on which the SpaClinique team works, is the most innovative, safe and effective system on the market. Fotona 4D is a leader in the production and development of advanced laser systems in the world. Their possibilities are so wide that in one treatment procedure we are able to achieve more than with single treatments performed separately with other devices. The idea of synergy is close to the SpaClinque and is especially appreciated by patients who want to achieve the best aesthetic effect during one visit, while solving many skin problems. In the case of Twinlight, one treatment both lifts, thickens and firms the skin, as well as smoothes the epidermis, brightening discoloration, evening the color and eliminating imperfections such as: enlarged pores, dullness, and excessive calluses.
How does the Twinlight treatment work?
Stage One: Non-ablative Fractionation
In the first stage of the Twinlight treatment, we use a neodymium-yag laser and use it to work on the firmness of the deepest layers of the skin. For this we use the first non-ablative technique of strong skin tightening, FRAC3. The laser light reaches the deep layers of the skin and creates in them many point micro-damages, which are places around which strong regenerative processes concentrate. Arranged in the skin, these points resemble an image of snowflakes in a glass ball filled with snow. FRAC3 gives the strongest dermis remodeling effects as non-ablative fractionation goes much deeper without damaging the superficial skin. Micro-injuries in the dermis zone trigger natural regeneration processes, and the heat accompanying the treatment rebuilds (twists) loosened collagen fibers and stimulates fibroblasts to produce new skin supporting tissues.
Stage two: Ablative photorejuvenation (resurfacing, laser peeling)
In the second stage, we perform a laser peeling, the power of which can be individually adjusted to the needs of the skin, moving between minimal fractional resurfacing and a treatment using the entire macula for full ablation. The erbium-yag laser, which is part of the leading Fotona laser system, uses a wavelength of 2940 nm, which we perform quick treatments to rebuild the skin surface. Their effectiveness is much higher than that of mechanical microdermabrasion (the effectiveness of a single Fotona erbium-yag laser treatment is higher than the 10 series of dermabrasions).
During fractional photorejuvenation, we act superficially - we exfoliate the epidermis and cause collagen reconstruction. Thanks to minimal ablation, damaged skin fragments are immediately evaporated, thanks to which healing is faster, without unnecessary discomfort. The Fotona fractionating head eliminates hot fragments of damaged tissue in the skin, and clean micro-tubules heal and close at a record pace. The effectiveness of resurfacing is the same as with non-ablative techniques, but we avoid pain, swelling and irritation. The Er: YAG laser gives the effect of smoothing surface wrinkles, removing discoloration, reducing the visibility of scars and improving the skin tone, and the lifting effect is further intensified by the result of the first part of the treatment, i.e. non-ablative FRAC3 fractionation, which increases over time.
Indications for the Twinlight treatment:
- Flabby skin, susceptible to gravity lines and wrinkles
- Loss of the face oval Discoloration
- Small scars, e.g. acne scars and other skin irregularities
- Uneven skin tone
- Sallow complexion
- Enlarged pores (sebaceous gland openings)
Hemangiomas Effects after the treatment:
- Smoothing wrinkles
- Thickening and firming the skin
- Improving the elasticity of the skin
- Lifting without a scalpel
- Improvement of the face oval
- Brightening of discoloration
- Balancing the color, restoring the color of healthy, rested skin
- Shallow scars
- Narrowing of the skin pores
- Smoothing out the texture (smoothing) of the epidermis
Important before the procedure
When planning a fractional laser peeling, take into account that the skin will be red for 1-3 days after the treatment, and then it will peel off. Full recovery in the maximum version (using the so-called full spot) will take up to a week. If you lead an active lifestyle and you cannot afford 3-5 days of convalescence, perform a gentle fractional peeling and repeat the procedure five times with an interval of about 5-8 weeks. Read the contraindications carefully so as to properly prepare for the treatment, exclude contraindicated cosmetics, medications and herbs.
What does the procedure look like?
The treatment begins with a thorough make-up removal, and then restoring the skin's pH with thermal water. In the first stage, a pen-like head is applied to the skin and emits short pulses. During them, the patient feels only warmth and a slight tingling sensation. Then the treatment staff places the Fotona® erbium-yag laser on the skin and, by moving the head in accordance with the passage technique, irradiates the surface with the laser beam. As a result of the laser beam, water evaporates from the epidermis. Depending on the needs of the skin and the patient's expectations, during the Twinlight treatment, we perform a gentle laser peeling in the fractionation mode (a mesh of microdamages is formed in the skin, surrounded by intact tissue) or intense - with full ablation, i.e. full spot.
Important after treatment
The effect of the two-stage Twinlight treatment is excellent. The patient must expect post-treatment effects for about 4-7 days. Immediately after the treatment, redness will occur, which, depending on the type of skin and the strength of the ablation, will disappear after 1-3 days. Then the epidermis will tighten and start to exfoliate 3-4 days after the treatment. You should not speed up this process in any way, peel or even tear off fragments of the epidermis. This process should be uninterrupted. During convalescence, the skin should be moisturized, you can use dermocosmetics and regenerative cosmetics, dedicated after laser treatments. These symptoms usually disappear after 7 days. You should wait from 4 weeks to 6 months for the full effect of thickening and firming the skin. In the stage of skin reddening, make-up must not be used, which could disrupt the controlled inflammatory process aimed at the reconstruction of the epidermis. The face should be gently washed without rubbing, preferably with thermal water, and intensively moisturized or lubricated with petroleum jelly. After laser peeling, in the period of time indicated by the staff, do not use creams with glycolic acid, retinol or alcohol-based. We do not use hot baths and saunas for 14 days, and during the convalescence period (7 days) we do not swim in the pool. For 4 weeks after the treatment, we avoid the sun and at least for this period (and preferably to protect against photoaging all the time) we protect the skin with the UV 50 SPF filter. To strengthen the skin reconstruction process, we recommend oral vitamin C supplementation and the use of a serum with a stable form of vitamin C on the skin.
Recommended number of treatments
Depending on the condition of the skin, we recommend 2-5 treatments every 5 weeks. The frequency also depends on the strength of resurfacing, with an intensive treatment, it is worth extending the interval between treatments to 8 weeks.
Tangibility of the treatment
The first part of the treatment is fully comfortable and you may feel warm. In the second stage of the Twinlight Fotona treatment, i.e. when the erbium-yag laser beam is working on resurfacing, the patient's skin is constantly cooled by a special nozzle integrated with the laser platform. Immediately after the treatment, there is a burning sensation of the skin, resembling the sensations after applying a chemical peel to the face, this feeling disappears after a quarter of an hour.

Safety
The most technologically advanced FOTONA laser systems have undergone many clinical trials, and their effectiveness and safety are scientifically proven. Among the solutions related to safety, the Variable Square Pulse (VSP) technology is particularly noteworthy, thanks to which the laser precisely adjusts the parameters to the treatments, so that during the emission of the light wave, adjacent tissues are not heated. In turn, the Feedback Control Technology (EFC) ensures that the emitted energy is consistent with the selected parameters.
